The scheme has a friendly atmosphere with social events arranged on a regular basis, and a guest room to allow family or friends to stay overnight. It has pleasant gardens to enjoy and is within walking distance of a supermarket and other shops.
The Scheme Manager provides a friendly face during office hours and offers support and advice as necessary. Each flat has an alarm linked to the Cardiff Community Alarm Service offering 24hr support and reassurance.
Scheme Criteria
The scheme is designed to cater for the needs of tenants aged 60+.
Tenants should be sufficiently able to live independently in their own flat, although they may arrange their own additional help (for example for cleaning or personal care) if necessary.

Who to contact if the Scheme Manager is not available
All flats at Broadlands House have alarms installed which are linked to the Cardiff Community Alarm Service. The alarm can be used in any emergency (24 hours a day), and a Mobile Warden will call on the tenant if necessary.
